Recently signing for Manchester United FC Women's team, Jayde grew up and played much of her youth soccer right here in Pickering from Recreational U4 though to the Super 7's program, transitioning into the Development/Competitive stream up to the U13's.
While in the competitive program, Jayde competed in various tournaments, winning the Frank Sobil, Robbie International, Erie Memorial Day, North Toronto, Rochester Cup, Richmond Hill Challenge Cup and Ottawa South Tournaments. In the Durham Region District League, Jayde and her team became League and Cup Champions.
Jayde has continued to be a major part of our club by regularly making appearances either in person or virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic speaking with and mentoring our current players. She has been a beacon of light to show all our members that dreams do come true. Jayde continues to inspire young and older athletes to play soccer in whatever capacity they desire. She has had such an impact on young girls; it’s like Christine Sinclair or Sophie Schmitt right in their own community!
On top of Olympic Gold and giving back to her community club, Jayde has also achieved:
Current National Team stats – 26 appearances, 14 starts, 1 goal, 2 assists
On January 21, 2023, Manchester United announced the signing of Jayde to their women's team, with the team currently in second place midway through the 2022-23 season. Jayde played her first professional MUFC game at Old Trafford on January 22, 2023!
Way to go Jayde! #PFCproud
