JAYDE RIVIERE FIELD

On behalf of the Pickering Football Club Board, Staff, Volunteers, and Membership, we are extremely proud to confirm that the current Kinsmen Turf Field, where Jayde spent many formative years, will now be renamed the 'Jayde Riviere Field'.

The Club is very proud to recognize Jayde's contributions to PFC. We know that this can only be achieved with true determination, passion, and love for the game of soccer. Jayde exemplifies all of these qualities in her game and has become an inspiration for the girls and boys, women and men of Pickering Football Club and beyond.

On June 18th, we look forward to sharing this day with Jayde, as well as members of her family, City Council,and the PFC Membership.

In speaking with PFC High Performance Manager Barry Donnelly, he said, "I had the privilege to coach Jayde for over seven years. Jayde is a terrific player and person. As a young player here at PFC, Jayde showed the drive that has led her to where she is today. As busy as she is, she always makes sure to stop by her former club and speak with the younger generation of players. They see a player like themselves who grew up in Pickering and played at Kinsmen Park, the same fields they train and play on. I would like to personally congratulate Jayde on the renaming of Kinsmen Park Turf to Jayde Riviere Field. This is an honour that I know she accepts graciously, and I hope that it starts a long tradition of PFC athletes being recognized in our city.”

Additionally, longtime PFC Coach (and #1 Jayde fan) Peter Hogg told us, "Congrats, Jayde, on the tremendous and well-deserved honor of having Kinsmen Field renamed after you.  You are an inspiration and a role model for young women around the world, especially here in your hometown of Pickering, Ontario.  Thank you for all you do in proudly representing our country and selflessly giving back to our community, particularly the Pickering Football Club."

Jayde continues to set a great example for our players and soccer fans in general.  We will continue to cheer her on as we follow her glowing career in the beautiful game.
