PICKERING, On. - Following the successful completion of the 2025 Annual Members Meeting (AMM), the Pickering Football Club is excited to confirm two additions to the club’s board of directors for 2026-2027.
Stephen Streich and Nadia Elliston will join seven current PFC board members and help guide the club after being successfully elected to Director at Large positions on Wednesday.
Warren Hutchinson will continue his Club Presidency in 2026 alongside Tionda Samuel – who will be serving as the club’s Vice President following her re-election.
Jennifer Doering will also continue her role as Club Treasurer, while Paul Baba and Ryan Taylor maintain their Director at Large positions, entering their first and second years with the club respectively. Ed Whitehead remains the Board of Director’s Immediate Past President.
Conducted by PFC staff and volunteers, the 2025 AMM featured five Board of Director positions up for election, including Vice President (two-year term), Secretary (two-year term), Director at Large (one year term) and a pair of additional Director at Large positions (two-year terms). More than two dozen people attended the 2025 AMM, counting for 87 valid votes to ensure positions were filled.
“The 2025 AMM gave PFC Board and Staff a chance to share our success, positive financials and key by-law changes while welcoming two brand new board members to the table,” said club Executive Director, Matt Greenwood. “We are excited to get our newest additions fully on board as we navigate the second half of the year and conclusion of our current strategic plan,” he added.
Notably, Wednesday’s AMM was also the last of Roz Lavoie’s career as she will be retiring from the board in 2026. Roz first joined the board in the early 2000’s when her daughter was playing as a competitive goalkeeper for the club. After a period away from the club, she was persuaded back as PFC’s Club Secretary in 2017 and provided fantastic support to the Board and Staff, navigating the club through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the collapse of the club’s dome and our transition to become ONCA compliant. Roz’s secretary position will be filled by Vanessa Chan, who spent last year serving as a Director at Large.
PFC's Board of Directors are responsible for providing overarching guidance and oversight to the organization. Its primary objective is to maintain the club’s strategic course while ensuring our long-term success, financial sustainability, and ethical conduct while safeguarding its commitment to its mission, vision, and values.
